Excursions

See Britain, Live Britain, Experience Britain

At Buckswood Lions, we believe that learning English isn’t just about the classroom – it’s about living the language and discovering the culture first-hand. That’s why excursions are at the heart of our programme. Every week, students explore the UK through a carefully planned schedule of trips, giving them the chance to see famous landmarks, discover local treasures, and practise English in real-life situations.

Our Weekly Excursion Plan

Wednesday – Full Day in London
Just 90 minutes away by train, London is a must-see! Our set of London excursions includes visits to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, the British Museum, and Covent Garden. Each trip is designed to give students a flavour of both the history and the modern life of this incredible capital city.

Saturday – A Local Adventure in Hastings
Saturdays are for exploring our seaside home town. Students can enjoy a mix of fun and relaxation – from mini golf by the sea, exploring the famous Smugglers’ Caves, the Hastings Pier and beach, to shopping in the Old Town. It’s a chance to slow down, enjoy the seaside atmosphere, and spend time with new friends.

Sunday – “Pick and Mix” Excursion
Sundays are all about variety! Groups can choose from exciting day trips to Oxford, Brighton, Canterbury, local castles, or countryside heritage sites. This flexible “Pick and Mix” system means every group can tailor their experience and match the trips to their interests and budget.
